More about the Regal Twin Cinema

The Regal cinema is a well-established landmark in the Western suburbs. The cinema has provided movie entertainment and magical memories for many generations of families growing up in Brisbane. The building is one of the few surviving independent cinemas in Brisbane's suburbs, resisting the encroachment of multiplexes by dedication to showing a range of top-quality local and foreign films, and continues to be an important part of the community. If you are looking for an alternative cinema experience where you are not: harassed by the sound of mobile phones; surrounded by a mountain of rubbish and stale popcorn left by previous patrons; offended by teenagers with feet on the seats instead of on the floor; then The Regal Boutique Twin Arthouse Cinema is the place for you - the Mature Discerning Movie Goer. This is the place where you not only enjoy a movie in clean pleasant surrounds, but enjoy a truly amazing entertainment experience, just like the good old days. The site where the Regal Twin now stands has been associated with film exhibition since 1921. An open air venue romantically titled Graceville Picture Gardens flourished in the silent movie era. With the dawn of the new millennium, the Regal evolved and matured into a modern Boutique Twin cinema catering for lovers of quality art house cinema and still does so to this very day.
